The Young Musicians’ Day was so popular in 2009 that we decided to make it a regular feature of the festival bringing together young musicians and international professionals to explore music in both rehearsal and performance.

The students arrive in Aujols at 10.30 am and work individually and collectively with some of the festival musicians on their selected musical pieces from 11.00 to 13.00.

After lunch, which is provided, they continue their musical workshops and also plan and prepare for the evening’s concert.

All the players will be encouraged to take part in the public performance that starts at 20.30 in the Eglise St.Jean-Baptiste, the site of all the concerts for the entire festival.

Pre-concert supper will also be provided for all young musicians taking part in the day’s programme.

We would encourage any local musicians or simply young players who are visiting the region to come along and experience this day.
